Day 1 of Internship starts with formalities with fellow interns and staff from Side Effects Software Inc (SESI). There were many hand shaking in the process, a process which was not quite common in Singapore. Orientation was held by Miss Aliza, a staff which I belive was in-charge of Training/Interns. We were also given some time to look around and get comfortable with the surroundings.
We met two Interns, both came from different states of America. We got the opportunity of looking at their port folio/demo reel. It was good to see such nice demo reels.
As for the day, we were given a website full of tutorials/training materials. It was helpful as it covers a wide variety of areas. Oh, there was this staff, if I am not wrong, by the name of John, showed us a training he did, and what he did was what I did during my FYP stint. Fluid driven by velocity/vector field. Although some steps he had was useful and I will try it out when I return to Singapore to continue touching up.
I get to play with some of the hip files. The "sculpt fluid using vel fields", the "follow the particle leader" and many more.
Fun.
